Back To School - BackPack Program
Our Savior Lutheran Church, Zephyrhills, Florida has been collecting for backpacks for well over 14 years to donate to local schools. With donations from our congregation, along with memorial funds designated by families within our congregation and collaboration with Thrivent Financial we have been blessed to increase our numbers each year, over the past 4 years we have donated over 100 backpacks filled with start-up supplies. Our goal is to continue this effort as long as we can to help supply needy children in the Zephyrhills area with the supplies they need to begin a joyful first day of school. Anyone that would like to donate to this project may do so by sending funds to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 5626 20th Street, Zephyrhills, FL 33542, please mark “Back to School.” Blessings to everyone that supports any program that helps the children in need in our community so they may began their school year ready to focus on their studies and relieve the stress of their parents to provide these items. Again, we donate the backpacks directly to a local school, we do not distribute from the church.
